Be there,

from anywhere.

Missing milestones is hard on students and parents alike. It’s a special day, symbolizing the closing of a chapter for both sides. But times like these push us to get creative, coming up with new ways for the proud parents to show their support for the Class of 2020, and join in the virtual graduation celebrations.

Family Celebration

Celebrate your graduates’ big day together with loved ones, whether gathered together or apart. Create a room in Messenger Rooms and invite up to 50 others (whether or not they have a Facebook account) to join in the celebration together. You can extend the invite to family and friends from around the world, or anyone who couldn’t make it to join in and show their support with graduation stickers, filters, and more surprises.

Set the Stage

With no physical stage, you’ll have to get creative on recreating the big walk. Decorate the living room with streamers of your graduate’s school colors, make a #Graduation2020 sign for inside - or outside - to ramp up the excitement and let your community know a graduate lives here. Share your decor and stay engaged with the community and other parents on Facebook Groups.

Share the Moment

There’s no doubt this year’s graduation will be memorable. It’s a milestone, and an important moment that you and your graduate may want to look back on. Make a post on Facebook to share the celebration with those who weren’t able to join on the big day. You can also Create a room from Messenger and invite up to 50 others (whether or not they have a Facebook account) to join in the celebration together.
